C. Jakarta Sudinparbud Holds Traditional Dance Competition

This event is not only looking for talented dancer, but also to preserve national cultures

Central Jakarta Tourism and Culture Sub-dept. (Sudinparbud) holds traditional cultural art performance at Central Jakarta Mayor office, Tuesday (7/3). Its participants are from RPTRAs and flats.

"This event is not only looking for talented dancer, but also to preserve national cultures," stated Mangara Pardede, Central Jakarta Mayor while opening the event.

He hope dance tutors from Jakarta Sudinparbud and RTPRA administrators to keep innovating thus cultural arts can be more effective and creative in RPTRAs and flats.

"We hope talented dancers to be mentored well and invite them to cultural art training center so their talents can be improved and trained more professionally," he added.

Meanwhile, Central Jakarta Sudinparbud Head, Sonti Pangaribuan explained, 400 participants will perform Betawi dance and national dance in this dance competition to get trophy and award.

"Today it is only for dance competition," he stated.
